Bellissima Sanctuary supports Black, self-identified females, children survivors of Intimate Partner Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Human Trafficking by providing them with essential daily items, such as clothing and toiletries they weren’t able to grab when leaving a violent situation quickly.
Our Story
Bellissima Sanctuary’s mission is deeply personal and rooted in the lived experiences of our founder and our board members. The journey began with our founder’s courageous escape from abuse in 2008, driving over 500 miles with her son to return to safety and love. This pivotal moment sparked a mission—a calling—to help survivor families escape, heal, and thrive in the aftermath of such trauma. Founded in 2020, by a team of passionate individuals, all who are abuse survivors themselves. Bellissima Sanctuary embodies a profound commitment to supporting Black, self-identified females and children who are survivors of Intimate Partner Domestic Violence, Sexual assault, and Human Trafficking.
